MM2 knife and gun values. Work out what your inventory is worth and compare both sides of a trade.
How MM2 Values Work
Start with the thing nobody says first: the game does not provide any reference points for knives, guns or pets. There is no shop price for a Godly, no exchange rate, nothing official to appeal to. Trading is essential for obtaining weapons and knives here, so the community had to build something: a player-created value points system that determines whether a trade is fair, agreed on by the people using it. The community relies on those value lists for its item tier lists, and community point systems are the only reason two strangers can agree on anything. That is why MM2 values are unitless. They are points, and points only have to be consistent with each other.
The word carries two meanings and mixing them is where most arguments start. One is the value points system used for item-for-item trading. The other is the price a buyer is willing to pay in real money, where the market regulates itself and you compare different offers for the same item to work out the right figure. Both are legitimate and they do not convert cleanly, so a point value tells you what to swap and says nothing about what buyers are actually paying. This list is the first kind, which is the kind you need with a trade window open.
MM2 Rarity Tiers: Godly, Chroma, Ancient and the Rest
The tier ladder is not the value ladder, and MM2 is the clearest example on this site. Sorted by how many of the 906 items fall into each, Common leads with 252, then Uncommon 161, Godly 136, Rare 116, Unique 85, Legendary 79, Chroma 53, Ancient 14 and Vintage 10. So Godly, the tier every new player wants, is the fourth most crowded category in the game. Values vary sharply by rarity, but not in the direction the names imply: the majority of guns and knives trade for mere cents whatever badge they carry, while the rarest genuinely cost a fortune. Godly itself is arranged in 5 tiers on most community lists, which tells you how much room there is inside a single label.
Run the medians instead and the real order appears. Godly sits around 17, Chroma around 90, Ancient around 118. Chromas sit at the top of the ordinary market because of their extreme rarity, their rainbow animation effect and plain community sentiment, and that is why Chroma items usually beat standard Godly items despite Godly sounding stronger. Ancients and Godlies fill out the rest of the high end, and everything below is far more trivial than the tier names suggest.
Why MM2 Has Two Value Scales
Sort this page by value and the first thing you see will not be a weapon you can realistically trade for. Gold Gingerscythe, Gold LogChopper, Gold Minty and Gold Vampires Edge all sit at 500,000,000, with Gold Candy, Gold Hallows and Gold Sugar at 150,000,000 and Nik's Scythe at 250,000,000. Those are real, tradeable and correctly priced. They are also a different plane from the one most players live on. Down on that plane the ordinary high-end market runs Chroma Traveler's Gun at 220,000, then Chroma Evergun at 74,000 and Chroma Evergreen at 49,000, then Blue Elderwood Blade, Red Icecrusher and Red Icepiercer at 45,000, then Blue Swirly Axe and Blue Synthwave at 40,000. That is the ladder almost every real trade happens on.
This is worth understanding because it explains a contradiction you will run into elsewhere. Some value sites quote the most valuable item in the game at around a million and are not wrong; they simply exclude the Gold Trophies, which the main community list keeps as their own category. Two lists, two scopes, both internally consistent. If a figure here looks a thousand times off against something you read, check whether the other list counts trophies before assuming either is broken.
Why MM2 Values Change
Values drop when supply increases, when hype fades, or when newer items pull attention away, and all three happen constantly in a game that has been running since 2014. Seasonal items spike during their release event and then decline as more copies enter circulation, which is the single most predictable pattern in MM2 trading and the one people keep buying into anyway. Even rare items lose ground when trading volume drops or the community shifts focus.
The market itself is not going anywhere. More than 22 billion visits and well over 100K active players keep new players constantly entering the market looking for their first Godly or Chroma, and most of that activity is collecting, trading and showing off rare items rather than playing rounds. Seasonal events and limited-time items create artificial scarcity, driving prices up and keeping trading volume high, and a seasonal update adds weapons that reprice everything around them. Values can change daily on market momentum, so the date above the table matters more than the precision of any single figure below it.
How to Read the MM2 Value List
Filter by rarity before you sort by value, or the trophy plane will dominate the first screen and tell you nothing about your own inventory. Then compare within a tier rather than across the whole list, because a mid-table Chroma and a mid-table Godly are not competing for the same trades in practice even when their numbers look close.
Two habits are worth more than any tier knowledge. Check every item in a deal rather than just the headline one, since a stack of cheap Commons is where an unfair offer usually hides. And treat this page as the opening position rather than the settlement, because the number is a community estimate and the person opposite is reading a list too. When you have a real offer in front of you, the MM2 trade checker totals both sides, and the MM2 value calculator prices a single build. The same lists exist for every other game we track.
MM2 Values FAQ
What are MM2 values?
Estimates used to compare items during trades. They can mean community value points, which is what this page shows, or real-money prices from marketplace listings, which are a separate thing. The game itself publishes no values at all, which is why the community had to build them.
What is the most valuable item in MM2?
On community point lists that include them, the Gold Trophy knives lead at 500,000,000, with Nik's Scythe behind at 250,000,000. On lists that exclude trophies, and on real-money marketplaces where Chroma items dominate the high end, Chroma Traveler's Gun is the usual answer. Both are correct for their own scope.
Are Chroma items worth more than Godly items?
Usually yes. Chroma is rarer, carries animated effects and attracts collector demand, and the medians bear it out: Chroma sits several times above Godly across this list even though Godly is the more famous tier.
Why do some MM2 items lose value over time?
Supply increases, hype fades, or newer items pull attention away. Seasonal items spike during their release event and then decline as more copies enter circulation, so buying one at peak is the most common way to lose value without being scammed.
How often do MM2 values update?
Community values can change daily on market momentum, driven by real-money demand and seasonal demand as much as by anything in game. This list is reviewed regularly and after major updates, and the date it was last touched is printed above the table.
Why does another site show a completely different number?
Check whether it includes the Gold Trophy category, which alone accounts for most large discrepancies. After that, the usual causes are refresh timing and whether the site is quoting community points or real-money prices, which are different scales entirely.
How do I get items in MM2?
In-game shop purchases using Robux, or player-to-player trading. Trading also earns experience, so working your way up through small fair trades costs nothing but time.
