How to Use the MM2 Value Calculator

There is no variant dropdown here and that is not an omission. MM2 items carry one value each: a Chroma Traveler's Gun is a Chroma Traveler's Gun, and nothing about weight, potions or mutations changes what it is worth. That makes this the simplest calculator on the site and moves the whole difficulty somewhere else, into whether you have the right item selected and whether you have counted all of them.

Search for an item on either side, set the quantity on any row where you hold more than one, and read the totals. The rarity filter cuts 906 items down to the tier you are working in, which is the fastest way to find something when half the names differ by a colour word. Nothing is stored and no account is needed. If you want a verdict rather than two totals, the MM2 trade checker compares both sides at once.

What an MM2 Value Actually Compares

Points, not currency. The game does not provide any reference points for knives, guns or pets, so what this tool adds up is a player-created value points system that exists purely to estimate trade fairness. It works for item-for-item trading because everybody agreed to the same scale, and it says nothing about what buyers are actually paying, which is a separate market with its own prices.

Keep those apart and a lot of confusion disappears. If somebody quotes you a figure in dollars for a Chroma and you are working in points, you are not disagreeing, you are answering different questions. When trades involve actual money the market regulates itself and you can compare different offers for the same item to find the right price. When they involve two inventories, points are the only common language there is.

What the MM2 Calculator Does Not Count

Demand, which in this game does more work than the numbers admit. Two items at the same value are not equally easy to move, and a Chroma with collector demand behind it will find a buyer while an equally valued Godly sits in your inventory. The tool prices the trade in front of you rather than the trade you could get next week, and only one of those is a number.

It also has no view of the trophy problem. Gold Trophy knives are priced in the hundreds of millions, which is correct and also a scale most players never touch, so a total that suddenly reads in the billions usually means one of those wandered into a search rather than that you have found a spectacular deal. Cross-check anything surprising against the MM2 value list, where the rarity filter makes the two planes easy to keep apart.

Why MM2 Value Lists Disagree

The largest gaps are almost never disagreements. They are scope. One list counts the Gold Trophies as their own category and another leaves them out entirely, which is why you will see the most valuable item in MM2 quoted at 500,000,000 in one place and around a million in another. Neither is broken and neither is lying, and knowing that saves you the twenty minutes most people spend deciding which site to distrust.

After scope comes the points-versus-money split, then refresh timing, in that order of size. Community values change daily on market momentum, so two lists sampling different days will differ on seasonal items in particular. The check that settles it: compare where an item sits relative to others in the same tier rather than comparing raw figures, because the ordering is far more stable than the numbers attached to it, and it is the ordering you actually trade on.
