How to Use the BGSI Value Calculator
Search for a pet on either side, set the quantity where you hold more than one, and read the totals in Gems. There is no variant dropdown, and that absence is deliberate rather than unfinished: everything priced here is the Normal pet, for reasons the paragraph below spells out in full.
Use the rarity filter to narrow 717 pets down, though be aware that Secret alone covers 518 of them, so it filters less than you would hope. Sorting by value inside a tier is the faster route to the pet you mean, and the BGSI value list shows where each pet sits within its own rarity. If you want a verdict rather than two totals, the BGSI trade checker compares both sides at once.
Why There Is No Shiny or Mythic Option
Because a single multiplier would be wrong on almost every pet, and wrong on exactly the trades where being wrong costs most. The stat multipliers everyone quotes, Shiny 1.5x regular stats, Mythic 1.75x and Shiny Mythic 2.625x, are stat multipliers quoted separately from trade values and have nothing to do with what a variant fetches in a swap.
The real trade figures are published as separate numerical amounts per variant, not multipliers, and they do not share a ratio. Water Serpent runs Normal 350, Shiny 2,250, Mythic 5,000, so 6.4x and 14.3x. Blossom Dementor runs Normal 3.9M against Mythic 32.5M, so 8.3x. Those two Mythic ratios are nearly a factor of two apart, and a dropdown offering one number would quietly pick a side. Until per-pet variant figures can be collected properly, this calculator prices the Normal pet and says so.
What the BGSI Calculator Counts
Community reference values in Gems, for Normal pets, and nothing else. That covers the majority of ordinary trades, since most pets that change hands are unvaried, and the totals are directly comparable because everything sits on one scale.
What sits outside it is worth naming. Variants, obviously. Also worth knowing: many secret and legendary pets show N/A for higher variant values, meaning those combinations are not obtainable, so a pet you are being offered as a Shiny may not exist in that form at all. And demand, which the value list carries on a Low to Insane scale, is not folded into any total here. Two pets at the same figure are not equally easy to move on.
Why BGSI Value Lists Disagree
Scope first. A list tracking Normal, Shiny, Mythic, ShinyMythic, XL and ShinyXL as separate entries will show thousands of rows where a Normal-only list shows hundreds, and comparing a Mythic entry on one against a Normal on the other produces an alarming gap that is nobody's error.
Freshness second, and BGSI moves faster than most. Values here trail some other lists on the fastest-moving pets, and any single source will lag somewhere. The stable comparison is where a pet sits relative to others in its own tier, since the ordering survives a week far better than the figure does. When a trade is large, check the pet on more than one list before committing, and confirm you are reading the same variant on both.
BGSI Calculator FAQ
What unit does this calculator use?
Gems, using community reference values. They are reference points for fair trades rather than prices set by anyone official, since the game publishes none.
Can I price a Shiny or Mythic pet here?
Not yet. Variant trade values are published as separate amounts per pet rather than as a shared multiplier, and the ratios vary by roughly a factor of two between pets, so a single dropdown value would be wrong more often than right.
Can I use the stat multipliers instead?
No. Shiny 1.5x, Mythic 1.75x and Shiny Mythic 2.625x describe stats, not trade value. Real trade ratios for the same variants run several times higher, so pricing a swap off the stat numbers undervalues the variant heavily.
Does it account for demand?
No. It totals values only. Demand runs Low, Medium, High and Insane on the value list, and every one of the 717 pets carries a rating, so it is worth checking beside the total.
Is it free and does it need an account?
Free, no account, nothing stored. It runs in the page and works on a phone.
Can I share a calculation?
Yes. The link in your address bar updates as you build, so copying it hands the other player both sides exactly as you set them up.
