How to Use the Steal a Brainrot Calculator
The mutation dropdown is the field that decides the answer, and it is the one people leave alone. Search for a brainrot on either side, set the quantity if there is more than one, then set the mutation before you read anything, because the same brainrot with and without one is not close to the same item. Everything totals in Dragons, so both halves of the trade end up in a unit you can subtract.
Build the side you are receiving first. It is the half somebody else chose and the half you know least about, and doing it in that order stops you anchoring on what you were already willing to give. The rarity filter narrows 445 brainrots down fast, which matters here more than in other games because Secrets alone are over half the list. If you only want to price one brainrot rather than compare two sides, fill in a single row and read its total.
How Mutations Change a Brainrot's Value
There are 14 mutations, only one mutation per brainrot, and they do not stack, so this is a single choice rather than a row of boxes to tick. What that simplicity hides is which set of numbers you are looking at. Farming guides rank mutations by income, verified in game, and the ladder they publish runs Cyber 11x, Divine 10x and Rainbow 10x at the top, then Cursed 9x, Radioactive 8.5x, Yin Yang 7.5x and Galaxy 7x, then Lava 6x and Candy 4x, then Bloodrot 2x, Diamond 1.5x, Gold 1.25x and Default 1x at the bottom. Every one of those is correct, and not one of them is a trade multiplier.
Bloodrot is the clearest case. It is a Low tier mutation for income and it sits near the top of the trade multipliers, because what a mutation is worth in a swap comes from scarcity and demand rather than money per second. Gold, the first real mutation most players unlock at a 25% boost, barely moves trade value at all, and Diamond's 50% income bump does little more. Meanwhile Divine, which pairs with Divine Fuse Machine outputs, and Rainbow, identical for income with different cosmetics, are worth less in a trade than their income rank suggests, precisely because they are farmable. Price a swap off a farming guide and you will overvalue the Apex income mutations and undervalue the scarce ones, which is the mistake the player opposite is hoping you make.
Once you have traded for one, placement is its own decision, and most players underestimate it until they see the numbers side by side. A single mutation on the right brainrot can replace the income of 11 additional brainrots. Apex mutations belong on the highest-income God or Secret brainrots you intend to keep and never on Common or Rare; high tier suits Mythic brainrots or secondary slots during long sessions; mid tier goes on Legendary brainrots you will keep temporarily; low tier is for filler slots and early rebirths. Wait until you hold a Mythic or better before spending a good one, always apply the highest multiplier you have, remember it is one mutation per slot, and move a mutation before replacing the brainrot under it rather than after.
What the Steal a Brainrot Calculator Does Not Count
Traits are the big omission and it is deliberate. Trait stacking gives even common brainrots collector value, but traits combine in ways no published dataset covers reliably, and inventing a multiplier for them would produce confident numbers with nothing behind them. Price the brainrot and its mutation here, then adjust upward by hand for traits rather than assuming the total already includes them.
It also cannot see exist count moving, and in this game that moves. Values shift with weekly updates, event supply and player demand, so the figure you get is a safety check rather than a settlement. On a rare trade, verify live values before you commit. A few admin-only items also carry enormous numbers and never appear in a real trade, so if one turns up in a search and produces an absurd total, that is why. Cross-check anything surprising against the Steal a Brainrot value list.
Why Steal a Brainrot Calculators Disagree
Start with the least likely cause and work backwards, because people always assume the wrong one. Genuine disagreement about a brainrot's base value is real but usually small. Far more often the two tools are using different mutation multipliers, one set for income and one for trade, and comparing them is comparing two different questions.
The second cause is staleness, and this game punishes it harder than any other. Values move with weekly updates and Admin Abuse events, the Secret tier keeps expanding with higher-income variants, and developers raise OG statistics to keep them apart, so a calculator that has not been touched in a month is quoting a market that no longer exists. Check when a source was last updated before you trust the gap it gives you, and when the trade is large, compare the lowest and highest public offers for the identical brainrot to establish current benchmarks yourself. To turn a total into a verdict, the Steal a Brainrot trade checker does both sides at once.
Steal a Brainrot Calculator FAQ
What unit does this calculator use?
Dragons, where one Dragon equals one Dragon Cannelloni. The community measures brainrots against that one item, so every total here is in the same unit traders already argue in.
Can I add more than one mutation to a brainrot?
No. The game allows one mutation per brainrot and they do not stack, so the calculator offers a single dropdown. Pick the one the brainrot actually carries.
Why is Bloodrot worth more here than in a farming guide?
Because a farming guide ranks mutations by income, money per second, and a trade ranks them by what people will pay. Bloodrot is low for income and high for trade value. Both figures are right for their own question.
Does it account for traits?
No. Traits stack in ways no reliable public dataset covers, so the calculator prices the brainrot and its mutation only. Adjust upward yourself for stacked traits rather than assuming they are included.
Is it free and does it need an account?
Free, no account, nothing stored. It runs in the page and works on a phone.
Can I share a trade with the other player?
Yes. The link in your address bar updates as you build, so copying it hands them both sides exactly as you set them up.
